By using the interdisciplinary approach of the cultural history, as meeting point for history, anthropology, geography, linguistics, and literary history, it is possible to collect echoes from long-forgotten times, and to link the current urban structure of Bucharest with the old shape of the city. The urban nomenclature of old streets has a symbolic dimension embedded in the urban imaginary.
